The CARI Foundation are hosting the John Aldridge Legends XI match against Friends of Cari this weekend, Saturday 8^th May KO 5pm at Tolka Park, Dublin, a match any football fan will not want to miss!

John Aldridge has put together a legends side of footballing greats, as he announced the final squad this week he has admitted to tactically choosing some of the best players to have ever graced the field, including Tom Boyd, Alan Kennedy, Jan Molby, Andy Cole, Phil Neal and many more. With players from Liverpool, Celtic, Manchester United and Irish internationals this a game for every football fan will enjoy!

Providing a professional, child centred therapy and counselling service to children, families and groups who have been affected by child sexual abuse, The CARI Foundation commented, “CARI welcomes with great appreciation these sporting legends coming together to support Children at Risk in Ireland which will help change children’s lives today.”

John Aldridge commented, “Myself and the rest of the lads on the team are really happy to be involved in such a worthwhile event, the work the CARI Foundation does is amazing and a charity that needs our support. We hope that the fans will agree and come out and support us in raising some money on the day!”

Legends XI said, “Not only is this a fundraising day for the CARI Foundation but it will be a great day out for any fan of the game! The games we organise are friendly’s but we always find that the competitive streak comes out in the players as soon as they step foot on the pitch. The Legends stars may be a bit older but they haven’t lost their drive for winning or skill with the ball, it’s just remarkable to watch. Any fan would enjoy a day like this! We are delighted to be involved with the CARI Foundation and hope it will be a really successful event for them this weekend!”

There will be a limited number of tickets available at the box office on Saturday at Tolka Park. Prices start at just €10.00 each for match, special VIP tickets which will include pre-match lunch with the legends players will be priced at €65.00.
