Legends All Stars XI v Clashmore Ramblers FC XI
Clashmore Ramblers FC have announced that they will be hosting a Legends XI exhibition match featuring a Legends All Stars XI team who will come up against a local Clashmore Ramblers FC side on Sunday 31st July at Pablo Park, KO 3pm.
Club chairman Pa O’Rourke commented, “on behalf of Clashmore Ramblers FC we are delighted to have the Legends come across to help raise much needed funds for our club and Irish Autism Action. We look forward to a huge show of support from the local community and beyond to watch the Legends All Stars in action on Sunday 31st July! We would like to express our thanks to Lawlor’s Hotel, Dungarvan, The Anchor Bar, Dungarvan, The Old Still Bar, Clashmore and An Siopa Nua, Clashmore.”
Legends XI has put together a legends side of footballing greats, including Irish Internationals, John Aldridge and Jason McAteer, Celtic Legends Tom Boyd and Tommy Johnston, Manchester United Legend Clayton Blackmore and many more. With players from Liverpool, Manchester United and Irish internationals this a game for every football fan will enjoy!
Irish Autism Action commented, “Irish Autism Action is delighted to have the opportunity again to be one of the benefactors of another Legends XI game. These games are a fantastic opportunity for us as charity to continue to raise much needed funds and awareness, but also the chance for every football fan young and not so young to make their dreams come true and get up close to their heroes. The Legends XI experience is something not to be missed, and you can only truly value the experience by being there. We are very pleased to be in partnership with Clashmore Ramblers FC, and we are very much looking forward to ‘The Spirit of Clashmore Charity Festival’. We express sincere thanks to Vinnie Coonan, Michelle Marks, Fiona Lombard and all the festival backroom team for their very enthusiastic approach to this event. This is the 6th time in the last 8 months that we have partnered with another organization to stage a Legends game and we would encourage everybody to take the opportunity to come out and support the event and not miss this wonderful experience of meeting the true legends of the game of football. We also express our thanks to the entire Legends XI team both players and backroom staff for their continued professional approach that they give to make each event special.”
John Aldridge commented on behalf of Legends XI, “Myself and the rest of the lads on the team are really happy to be involved with Clashmore Ramblers FC and look forward to the game at Pablo Park. The event is raising funds for a very worthy cause, Irish Autism Action, the work they do is amazing and the charity needs our support. We hope that the fans will agree and come out on 31st July and support us in raising some money on the day!”
Match tickets are priced at €10 across the board with the exception of under 5′s free. All tickets stubs will enter a draw at half time to win a Trip for Two to A Premier Game of their choice in the 2011/2012 Season. Prize includes travel to the match. Tickets are available from Lawlors Hotel, Dungarvan, – The Anchor Bar, Dungarvan – The Old Still Bar and An Siopa Nua, Clashmore -A Special Shop Outlet in The Dungarvan Shopping Centre on Sat 9th and Sat 23rd July – All Clashmore. Ramblers F.C. Committee Members will be calling door to door to everyone in the Clashmore Area and tickets are also available from all members of The Clashmore Ramblers Team.
As part of the Spirit of Clashmore Festival, there will also be a 5K Fun Run with ‘32 Marathons in 32 Days’, Gerry Duffy on Saturday 30th July, entry €20 of which each entrant will receive a complimentary ticket to the match, a Kids Soccer Camp in Pablo Park, Clashmore on Sunday 31st 12.30pm entry free, all welcome, A unique photo opportunity to get your photo taken with Premier and Champions League Trophies at Lawlors Hotel at 5pm Sunday July 31st, ‘Question of Sport’ Fun Quiz on Sunday 31st July 6pm in The Anchor Bar , Dungarvan, and Gala Dinner with the Legends on Sunday 31st July 7.45pm in Lawlors Hotel, Dungarvan, tickets €35.00.
