Tough European Challenge For Liveroool Legends In Valencia
Legends XI are pleased to announce that the Liverpool Legends are flying to Valencia next month to compete in the Copa de Europa de Futbol Indoor at the Centro Comercial Bonaire 9th- 11th September 2011.
Liverpool Legends including Jason McAteer, John Wark, Jimmy Carter and Bob Bolder will take on the mighty Porto and Inter Milan on Friday night. The 5 a side competition continues on Saturday evening, 3rd & 4th placed playoffs followed by the final!
Jason McAteer commented, “Myself and the rest of the lads are really looking forward to our trip to Valencia in September. It’s always great to come up against some good teams and we will certainly get a tough game against Porto and Inter Milan. We reckon we have what it takes though walk away with the title!”
Hosts Valencia, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, FC Porto and Ajax will also be competing to win the title Copa de Europa de Futbol Indoor. Fans can also expect to see players including Valencias Lubo Peney and Gaizka Mendieta, Real Madrid legends Emilio Amavisca and Carlos Santillana, Ajax heroes Frank De Boer and Richard Witschge, Porto’s Paulo Futre and Rui Barros, and Inter Milan’s best Gianluca Pagliuca and Marco Delvecchio, amongst many more.
Legends XI added, “We are delighted to be bringing the Liverpool Legends across to Spain to take part in this competition. The games the Legends play are always great for the fans to watch, they have all the skill and talent of their professional days, with just as much competitiveness.”
